Art consultancy services
Bailey Heaven provide a professional art and chattels valuation service for private clients, trustees and professional advisors.
With many years of experience in the art market, our combined expertise gives us a sharp eye for valuations and allows us to bring a uniquely informed perspective to artworks and collections. Our specialists undertake probate, insurance and sale valuations depending on the circumstances and client requirements.
With an understanding of both the intrinsic value of an artwork and the complex financial implications it can carry, Bailey Heaven advise on planning for the future of a collection or estate. We can assess the potential of any immediate or long-term effects of tax charges that may be applicable when selling or moving a work of art in the current market. We also negotiate sales to the nation in lieu of Inheritance Tax.
We work closely with a wide variety of clients with a diverse range of artworks – each of them seeking strategic sale advice and expert sale management. Based on our knowledge and experience of the auction market, and access to the private sale market, we provide a transparent and independent assessment of the different strategies available for the sale of single artworks, groups, or collections of art.
We will negotiate private and auction sale transactions, and manage the entire sale process providing regular reports on the progress of consignments through to their completion, in order to keep you fully informed at every step.
For collectors looking to buy a particular painting or work of art, Bailey Heaven can provide access to experienced specialist advice across all categories of the art market, thanks to an unrivalled network of contacts built up across decades in the industry. We can help assess a potential acquisition and also negotiate a purchase on your behalf, bringing our wide-ranging knowledge and judgement to the table.
Even if you are not looking to sell or move an artwork in the near future, the experts at Bailey Heaven can provide advice on the administrative and curatorial aspects of managing a collection of any size. Bringing a refined understanding of art to your pieces, we ensure that our service is based on the specific needs of our clients, tailoring it to the contents of the collection in question. For further information, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your requirements.
